The Sindh Government reversed its decision to reopen Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan.

Sindh Auqaf Chief Administrator Mansoor Ali Mahesar says the decision to keep the shrine closed was taken in light of the current situation with coronavirus.

He said all shrines under the department will remain closed until the situation normalises.

The government had declared on May 26 that it would reopen the shrine from today (May 28). It had said that SOPs at the shrine would be assured.

It was closed on 24 March, when the Sindh administration implemented its lockdown to curb coronavirus spread.
