Sindh govt gears up to impose ‘micro smart lockdown’ in Karachi

KARACHI: The Sindh government is preparing to impose micro smart lockdown in Karachi viewing the rising number of coronavirus cases.
Sindh Health Department’s Section Officer-III has sent a notification titled ‘Implementation of Micro Smart Lockdown’ to the additional inspector general of police, all the deputy commissioners and senior superintendents of police in Karachi in this regard.
“It has been noticed that the number of coronavirus cases has started rising. In this regard, it is a high time to further strengthen implementation of the standard operating procedures especially micro smart lockdown (MSLD).
“It is therefore requested to deploy police force at designated MSLD sites in consultation with the concerned district health officers,” he wrote.
