Sindh govt further reduces office staff to 20%

KARACHI: Sindh Government Spokesperson and Advisor to Chief Minister on Law and Environment Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui on Monday announced that the provincial government had further reduced office staff to 20 percent.

“The situation is very alarming and the government may have no other option but to take stricter decisions if people don’t act responsibly,” Murtaza Wahab tweeted expressing wish that people were actually following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and had been wearing masks.

He said all Sindh government offices shall operate with an essential staff of 20% only. While, all schools, colleges and universities shall also remain closed due to the rising number of COVID19 cases, he maintained.

“Intercity public transport will be closed from April 29 in Sindh,” he said.
