In its latest efforts to curb the spread of deadly coronavirus outbreak in the province, the government of Sindh has established a COVID-19 laboratory to enhance testing capability.
On Thursday Sindh government spokesperson Senator Murtaza Wahab said the Sindh government has developed a COVID-19 laboratory to increase the testing capability in its latest efforts to curb the spread of deadly coronavirus outbreak in the province.
Senator Murtaza Wahab said in his tweet:
“SindhGovt has established a #COVIDー19 laboratory at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Research, Karachi University.”
This laboratory has the capacity of 800 tests per day according to Senator Murtaza Wahab.
He further said:
“It has become functional from today with a capacity of 800 tests a day.”
Sindh Minister of Education and Labor Saeed Ghani, on the other hand, said small businesses had not resumed operations in other provinces of the country as a precaution against coronavirus spreading.
Ghani said small business owners in other parts of the country are still protesting. “The SOPs devised for the easing of the lockdown will be debated before a cabinet committee.”
