The Sindh government has announced to vaccinate prisoners aged above 50 years. The inoculation drive will begin from 7th April.
“The prison population have been considered as “vulnerable and neglected” part of society,” said the Sindh health department.
However, around 2,000 prisoners will be inoculated against covid-19 in the province.
Today, Pakistan has reported 3,953 new positive cases of coronavirus with 103 new deaths in the past 24 hours, according to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
Total 46,665 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as the positivity percentage was measured at 8.47%.
Pakistan is alarmingly facing the third wave of the coronavirus and it has so far reported 696,184 confirmed cases and 14,924 deaths during the pandemic.
