Sindh govt announces public holiday on 23rd March

The government of Sindh has announced public holiday on 23rd March.
A notification was released on Thursday by the Sindh government which stated that 23rd March will be marked as public holiday across the province.
On 23rd March 1940, a resolution was passed saying that Muslims in India wanted independence and a separate homeland as they were feared to be persecuted in India even after departure of the English colonialists.
Since then, the day is celebrated annually throughout the country as a public holiday. The Pakistan Armed Forces usually hold a military parade to celebrate the event.
