Sindh govt announces Benazir Bhutto Mazdoor Cards for labourers

The Sindh government on Monday (today) announced the issuance of Benazir Bhutto Mazdoor Cards for labourers across the province.

The Benazir Bhutto Mazdoor Card will provide free medical assistance and other facilities such as academic benefits and other amenities.

According to the provincial government, 650,000 health cards will be distributed among the industrial labourers and later the number will be increased to five million labourers.

The cards could be obtained from the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA).

Moreover, the Benazir Bhutto Mazdoor card agreement was signed between the Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI) and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on 3rd September 2020.

The government has aimed to provide aid to more people and expects that corruption in the labour department would reduce.
