Sindh govt agrees to ease coronavirus lockdown
The Sindh government has agreed to ease the lockdown of coronavirus in the province after which it will slowly resume industry, transportation, and public activities.
The conditional resumption of business operations would profit millions of shopkeepers, according to sources, while commercial activities will resume in phases.
Sources also said the provincial government wanted to revive business activities in Dubai-style, adding that it would require people and businessmen to take precautionary measures themselves to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus while allowing for conditional business activities.
The government of Sindh said people need to change their lifestyle and practice social distancing.
After consulting with Prime Minister Imran Khan and other officials, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will make a formal statement about the lockdown restrictions.
In this regard, sources said the chief minister is conducting consultations with members of the cabinet, medical experts, administrative officers and senior officials.
Sources further said decisions will be taken with national consensus, and business operations will be permitted in a phased and restricted manner.
