Sindh Education Dept suspends Physics teacher for 30 months without any reason
KARACHI: A competent Physics teacher belonging to Kashmore district of Sindh has been suspended from his service for the last 30 months by the Sindh Education Department without any reason.
The 14 BPS teacher, Sir Assadullah Naseerani, who has written four books available locally on Physics and who has numerous videos of his lectures on YouTube has been suspended allegedly on complaint of a feudal lord of his district.
Along suspension, the education department has also blocked salary of Assadullah Naseerani. They reportedly want him to mend ties with the feudal lords of his area. The 36-year-old, who has five children and a wife to look after, said that the feudal lords envied their family because they were all educated. Hence, he said his younger brother was alleged by the feudal lords of involvement in a Karo Kari crime.
The Physics teacher said that due to non-provision of salary by the Education Department he had taken loan of Rs1.5 million to make both ends meet. He said he had become a patient of depression and if the situation persisted then his life was at stake.
Assadullah said that an officer of the education department sought hefty bribe from him to resolve the matter, which he could not afford.
