Sindh decides not to release accused involved in Parveen Rehman’s murder

The Sindh government on Wednesday decided not to release the four accused persons involved in the murder of Orangi Pilot Project (OPP) chief Parveen Rehman.

The Sindh government has decided to detain the accused under Maintenance of Public order Ordinance (MPO) 1960 for 3 months.

“Parveen Rehman’s sister and family life in danger from the accused,” Sindh government said.

Earlier, The Sindh High Court (SHC)nullified the life-imprisonment sentences handed down to four accused persons in the Parveen Rehman murder case by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).

Parveen Rehman, head of the Orangi Pilot Project (OPP), was gunned down near her office in Orangi Town on March 13, 2013.
