KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly has unanimously approved resolution condemning the publication of blasphemous sketches in France.
While, Jamaat e Islami on this occasion demanded from the government to sack Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.
The resolution was flouted by Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah. Nasir Shah said, “Our lives will be sacrificed on the Namoos e Risalat (SAWW).” Referring to the clashes between the government and Tehreek e Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), he said the issue should have been resolved in a better way.
JI MPA Abdul Rasheed said the government should implement the agreement regarding Namoos e Risalat (SAWW).
TLP leader Qasim fakhri said an agreement was signed between the government and his party in Nov 2020 and then they gave the government extra time for implementation of the agreement, which it could not do because of its incompetence. He said when his party held protest, straight firing was opened on the party workers.
