Shoaib Malik to miss farewell match as Pakistan play 3rd T20 against Bangladesh

Pakistan team will play Bangladesh today in the third and final T20 match of the series which will start at 1 pm local time. Shoaib Malik is set to miss today’s match.
Veteran allrounder Shoaib will be a notable absentee from today’s match as Malik is set to fly back to Pakistan for personal reasons.
As per reports, the veteran will not be available for today’s match due to his son’s illness.
Sources told the media that Shoaib was set to retire from the international T20 format after the Bangladesh series. Today would have been the last match for Shoaib Malik but his nonavailability means he will miss his farewell match.
Yesterday, the national squad hang out in a restaurant in Dhaka. Shoaib gave a speech for morale boosters among the “Green Shirts.”
Malik mentioned that these victories are proof that there is “unity” among the team. Team wins because of collective efforts not on individual performance.
The veteran further said Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are top scorers this year while Shaheen Afridi and Hassan Ali are leading wicket takers.
Media reports suggest that Iftikhar Ahmed will replace Shoaib Malik in today’s match against Bangladesh.
Pakistan already has a decisive two-nill victories cushion in a three-match T20 series against Bangladesh.
