Shoaib Malik becomes first Asian batter to score 12,000 T20 runs

Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik on Monday became the first Asian batter to score 12000 runs in T20 cricket. He achieved the milestone while playing for the Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
He achieved the feat after scoring 35-runs against the Colombo stars in the Lanka Premier League.
West Indies’ Chris Gayle is on the first place with 14,276 runs in 448 matches in the T20 format. Shoaib Malik achieved the milestone in his 485th T20 game.
Taking to Twitter, Malik shared the feat with fans with a caption, “Another day, another Milestone.”
“Alhamdolillah,” he added.
The all-rounder made his T20I international debut in Bristol against England in 2006.
He then led the national team to the final of the T20 World Cup Final in South Africa and was part of the WC-winning Pakistan team of 2009 in England.
