 Shireen Mazari condemns burning of Hindu temple in Karak

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari has strongly condemned the burning of a Hindu temple by a mob in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a tweet, she asked the KP government to bring the culprits to justice. “The Ministry of Human Rights is also looking into the matter,” she said.

The minister said it was the government’s responsibility to ensure safety and security of all its citizens and their places of worship.

A mob set the temple on fire when the government workers tried to implement on the project of extension of the land of the worshipping place in Terry area of Karak district.

Huge contingent of police arrived and controlled the situation.
