Indian actress, Shilpa Shetty has posted a statement in husband Raj Kundra’s pornography case, on Instagram.
The statement reads ” “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family.”
“MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain”. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary,” the statement further read.
“So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyamev Jayate! With Positivity and Gratitude, Shilpa Shetty Kundra.”
Earlier, Shilpa reportedly shouted at Raj Kundra, “What was the need to all this?”, when the police raided their house in Mumbai for investigation into the allegations. Indian media outlet, NDTV reported that since his arrest it was the first time police had brought him to his house. He was remanded into judicial custody for fortnight after his arrest.
The actress complained that she had to face huge monetary loss because of her husband’s conducts, as her and her family’s reputation in the industry had been destroyed and she had to abandon several projects because of that.
Police have interrogated all the nine suspects but nobody mentioned about Shilpa’s involvement in the illegal business. While, Kundra’s four employees have become approver against him in the case.
