ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid is paying a two-day visit to Waziristan from Friday (today).
“Efforts are being made for better border management,” Sheikh Rasheed said in a video message.
He said the border fencing with Afghanistan would complete in two months’ time. Eighty eight percent work on the fencing had been completed, he maintained.
He said the border fencing with Iran would also be completed by the end of the following year. Forty four percent work on this project had been completed, he said.
“The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government wants to introduce such a border system where people are given slips on entrance and exit as a token of acceptance in the country,” he said.
The interior minister said one hundred and fifty mobile eagle squad will be attached with safe city project to make Islamabad a safe zone.
