Sheikh Al-Sudais announces removal of protective barricades around Holy Kaaba
The General President of the Great Mosque and Mosque Affairs Prophet Sheikh Dr Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais announced the removal of security barricades around the Holy Kaaba.
Under the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, the barricades were built around the Holy Kaaba in cooperation with the local health and safety authorities.
The President-General of the Great Mosque and Mosque Affairs Prophet Sheik Dr Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais stated that the Presidency is operating effectively with a high degree of coordination to review and assess precautionary steps and to ensure their efficacy and necessity.
Directives were issued to remove barricades and intensify sterilization and disinfection operations.
He announced the operational schedule of the presidency for the holy month of Ramadan 1441 H, which comprised 3,500 staff working around the clock to sterilize the Grand Mosque and its outer yards.
In addition Sheik Al-Sudais thanked the Two Holy Mosques Custodian and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their treatment, assistance and follow-up to the Two Holy Mosques.
