LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is most likely to leave for London along with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif for medical treatment very soon.
Geo News has claimed that the younger Sharif has convinced his elder brother to stop insisting on getting treatment in Lahore and get treatment abroad.
The private news channel has quoted sources as saying that Shehbaz Sharif had already consulted the doctors at London’s Harley Street clinics for his brother’s low platelet issue.

On Nov 7, Nawaz Sharif was discharged form Services Hospital Lahore to be treated at his Jati Umra residence.
The sources have claimed that the former Punjab chief minister had asked Nawaz Sharif to consider staying in London for five months for complete health treatment.
Head of the medical board established to oversee Nawaz’s health, Dr Mehmood Ayaz has said that the medical board would endorse the idea of getting treatment in London.
On Oct 29, the Islamabad High Court had suspended the ex-PM’s sentence in the Al-Azizia embezzlement case for eight weeks on medical basis.
On Oct 28, Chief Executive Sharif Medical City and physician of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Dr Adnan Khan had said Nawaz Sharif was critically unwell and fighting the battle for his health and life.
“His thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) and NSTEMI (a type of heart attack) is further complicated by deteriorating kidney functions. Poor blood sugar and blood pressure control is taking its toll,” Dr Adnan Khan had said in a tweet.
He had said pending scans/biopsies, diagnostic dilemma still ensued from multiple complex pathologies and co-morbidities.
“In a paradoxical catch 22 situation; establishing a definitive diagnosis & subsequent management poses considerable risk to Nawaz Sharif’s fragile & unstable health,” he had tweeted.
