For the third time in Pakistan, the Chinese video-sharing app, TikTok has come back after a ban, which was imposed four days ago, has been lifted by Sindh High Court.
The court in its decision has ordered Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to restore the mobile application.
“There is an ongoing war of technology in the world right now and companies are doing propaganda against each other. Our regulatory authorities and honourable judges should stay away from this fight and welcome those who invest in Pakistan,” the minister states.
Earlier, Sindh Hight Court had asked the relevant authorities to impose ban on TikTok till July 8 during the hearing of a suit filed by a citizen seeking suspension of the social media app for “spreading immorality and obscenity” in the country.
It was the third time that the app had been banned after the previous ban was lifted around three months ago
