Shakira wore $20,000 custom-made boots at iconic Super Bowl performance
Shakira and Jennifer Lopez took the world by storm with their iconic performance at the Super Bowl 2020 halftime leaving everyone in awe.
Among the myriad things that landed Shakira on top of Twitter’s biggest trends, following her power-packed performance, her glamorous boots were one of the reasons she made numerous headlines.
The singer’s gorgeous, crystal embellished red boots cost a whopping $20,000, reported a media source.
The boots were created by fashion designer Dan Life who come out sharing that they were nearly 15 years old from Shakira’s own collection.
“So the boots were Shak’s favourite pair that she wore for so many years and so this was a very sentimental addition to her look,” Life said.
He also said that Shakira’s stylist reached out to him to ‘help bring to life her idea (of enhancing the boots) to life.’
“I had direction from her team, but during the final week, Shakira and I got to work together on it which was pretty cool,” Life added.
Life also went on to clarify that the boots contained 30,000 Siam Swarovski crystals, giving it the $20,000 value. The adornment took “10 working days and nights” to complete, he added.
