“Shahzad, Shahroz had tears in their eyes when I was offered Bollywood film”, says Momal
Recently during a talk show, actress Momal Sheikh revealed the reaction of her family after receiving a film offer from Bollywood.
Actress Momal Sheikh and his brother actor Shahzad Sheikh participated in a comedy show where both of them had an interesting discussion on many topics including acting and career.
During the interview, the host Tabish Hashmi asked Momal ‘It is so that your father Javed Sheikh has also worked in Bollywood, you have also done a film, so have you ever teased Shahzad?’
The Dil-e-Momin actress said, “When I got the offer, I had no intentions of actually going ahead with the film. My son was only two months old when I got the call, and he was three months old when I went for the audition”.
While sharing the reaction of her brother Shahzad and cousin brother Shahroz Sabzwari the actress said, “when I first got the offer, I turned towards Shahzad and Shahroz and teased them about trying to be the hero while I was here, going to Bollywood! You would not believe it, but both of them had tears in their eyes”.
After Momal’s remarks, Shahzad also talked about his feelings at that time, “when Momal went to Mumbai for shooting, I was very nervous about how she well would do on the film or whether she’d let the family down, but she did a great job, it was a very nice performance and we are proud of her”.
It should be noted that Momal Sheikh worked in the Bollywood film ‘Happy Bhag Jaye Gi’ released in 2016, in which he was accompanied by actors Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and actress Diana Penty.
