Shahnaz Laghari — Pakistan’s first veiled pilot in Guinness Book of World Records

Shahnaz Laghari is the first Pakistani female pilot who flew aircraft wearing complete veil. She has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for this feat. She is also a good social worker and is running few educational and sewing training centers to empower the women of her community.
Shahnaz joined Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) in May 2018, after failing to succeed in the General Elections-2013 from Lahore (NA-122) as an independent candidate.
In an interview, she told that she had to face a great deal of difficulties. She said the difficulties she faced paved the way for other girls wearing hijab or veil.
The first purdah-observing pilot of the world said she had received various offers for training abroad, however she preferred to serve the Pakistani nation. She said when one wills, Allah (SWT) creats easiness for him. If given a chance, women of Pakistan could prove their mettle, she maintained.
