Shahnawaz Dahani receives hero’s welcome in Larkana

Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans’ star bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has received hero’s welcome at his hometown in Larkana, after the mega cricket event came to a halt following surfacing of coronavirus cases among players.
Wicket-keeper captain of Quetta Gladiators, Sarfaraz Ahmed shared video of the young man expressing his love for him. Dahani is the first Sindhi-speaking bowler in the PSL. In fact, only a handful of Sindhi-speaking players have ever played for Pakistan at the international level.
The 22-year-old resident of Larkana is much loved because of his affable behavior, broad smile and benign manners. So far, he has been the 3rd-highest wicket taker of PSL6.
Australian sports journalist, Dennis Freedman also shared Dahani’s video saying that Pakistan was at its best when it was celebrating the achievements of people like Dahani.
“He represents everything that the PSL is. Creating opportunities for everyone irrespective of background or connections or wealth,” he wrote on his social media account.
