Shahida Hazara wins gold medal for Pakistan in South Asian Games 2019
On Monday, Shahida Abbasi from Hazara, a community which has been a target of continuous violence has won gold medal for Pakistan in South Asian Games 2019, held in Nepal.
Pakistani Karatekas started the week with great success as Shahida won three medals in the tournament. In the single Kata category, she begged a gold medal, winning with 42 points.
Meanwhile, in men’s Kata, Naimatullah from Pakistan scored 24.92 points and won a silver medal. In the Team Kata category, Nargis and Shahida teamed up and achieved silver.
Last but not least, Naseer Ahmed, Noman, and Naimatullah helped Pakistan win the fourth medal in men’s Team Kata.
Both men and women teams and individuals fought tremendously and made Pakistan proud. Shahida gets under the spotlight more as she won the Gold Medal for Pakistan with her sheer determination and hard work.
