Shahid Afridi visits South Waziristan

PESHAWAR: Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Khan Afridi visited South Waziristan on the occasion of Defence Day.
Lala attended an event related to the Defence Day and addressed the participants. He said the tribal people had rendered enormous sacrifices and they staggeringly loved Pakistan.
“There is a need to work in the tribal areas on emergency basis. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is responsible to resolve issues faced by people here after merger of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) areas,” he said.

Shahid Afridi said the people of South Waziristan faced the basic issues of health, education and others.
About his visit to the region, he said that he spent an extremely nice day at South Waziristan. He said he visited Sholam Hospital, Wana Cadet College, Agricultural Park, a match at the cricket stadium and met with leaders of trives.
The cricketer said that he received hospitality, warmth and love similar to his ancestral village.
