Shaheen’s victory is my victory ‘,, Rizwan’s spirits are high
Despite losing in the final of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League, Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan’s spirits are high.
The final was played between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans yesterday in which Qalandars won by 42 runs after an all-rounder performance and became the champions for the first time.
While fellow cricketers congratulated the Lahore Qalandars on their victory, the captain of the opposing team and Shaheen Afridi’s best friend Muhammad Rizwan also sent a message on social media.
He shared photos of Shaheen and his team and wrote the first line of the famous poem, “Girty hain Sheh’sawar he maidan-e-jung main”. he encouraged his team and said that Multan Sultans played like champions in the tournament and the champions stand up despite the defeat.
He thanked all the fans for their love and also appreciated the hard work of the coaches, staff and players.
Rizwan finally mentioned Shaheen Afridi and wrote that “Shaheen’s victory is my victory, I am happy for Lahore Qalandars”.
It should be noted that Lahore Qalandars are the only team that defeated Multan Sultans twice in the tournament. Apart from Qalandars, no other team beat Sultans.
