Shaheen Shah Afridi wins Cricketer of the Year award

Dubai: Another honor for Pakistan cricket. The ICC has named Pakistan’s famous fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi as the Cricketer of the Year.
A press release issued by the ICC states that he has won the 2021 Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy ICC Player of the Year.
Shaheen Shah Afridi took 78 wickets at an average of 22.20 in 36 international matches last year. His best bowling is to take 6 wickets for 51 runs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi took 7 wickets in T20 World Cup and 23 wickets in 21 matches.
On winning the award, Shah Shaheen Afridi said, Pakistan was unbeatable in 2021. I had tried to give good performances for the team. 2021 went well. I will try to show good performance in future also.
In 2021, Four Pakistani players have been honored with awards. Babar Azam was named ODI Cricketer of the Year, Mohammad Rizwan was named T20 Cricketer of the Year and Fatima Sana was named Emerging Women Cricketer of the Year.
