Shah Mehmood Qureshi strongly condemns blasphemy incident in India
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has strongly condemned the blasphemy incident in India and said that the blasphemy incident has hurt the feelings of Muslims.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while talking about the persecution of Muslims in India, said that the incident in the Indian city of Bangalore has hurt the feelings of Muslims.
He said that the Muslim minority in India is not safe today. International human rights organizations should take note of this incident.
The Foreign Minister said that the secular state has been buried by the present government of India and today a Hindu state is being born in India. He said that the atrocities against Muslims in India are not an internal problem of India but a problem of humanity. And Pakistan has the right to raise this issue.
Earlier, Pakistan protested against the incident of blasphemous post in Bangalore, Karnataka from India. The Foreign Office spokesman said that Pakistan had informed the Indian High Commission of the protests and concerns.
The anti-Islamic post on social media had hurt the feelings of Muslims. The incident reflected the growing Islamophobia and hatred against minorities in India.
