Shah Mahmood Qureshi stresses need to devise NAP for curbing COVID-19 pandemic

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has stressed the need to devise a National Action Plan (NAP) for defeating the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The government has no intention to abolish the 18th Amendment, however, it wants to improve it,” he said talking to private news channel.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi also invited the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders to come forward and support the government to improve 18th Amendment and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws by giving their input.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan has said the government wanted to ease the lockdown slowly and gradually to revive the economy.
He said many western countries had also been easing the lockdown as their economies had badly suffered due to COVID-19.
The minister said public cooperation was essential to contain the coronavirus.
Ali Muhammad Khan said Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed to provide maximum relief to people by utilizing all available resources in coronavirus outbreak.
He said upcoming special session of National Assembly will be specific to COVID-19 debate.
