Shafqat Mahmood announces removal of restrictions on schools from 1st March

The federal minister for education, Shafqat Mahmood, has announced to remove the restrictions on schools about conducting three classes per week as the Covid-19 cases are declining.

The federal and provincial governments in a meeting at the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) last month allowed educational institutions to reopen as per their routine, but schools in Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore and Peshawar were allowed to open schools only three days a week.

According to the federal education minister, the NCOC had already decided to remove the ban in the four cities from February 28.

In a tweet , Shafqat Mahmood stated “Today, in my tweet I just elaborated that from March 1 all schools of the country will hold regular classes under the SOPs”.
