Shadab advised six-week rest due to thigh injury

The wrist-spinner, Shadab Khan, has been advised to take rest for six weeks as MRI scan confirmed an injury “high grade full thickness tear to the Rectus Femoris muscle”, on his left thigh.
According to the Pakistan’s Cricket team doctor, Dr Sohail Saleem, “The MRI reports have confirmed it is a fresh injury and not the one that had sidelined him from the Zimbabwe series last month.”
Shadab will undergo weekly ultrasound scans for consecutive six weeks. After the completion of six weeks, the medical panel will assess the injury and further decide about his return to cricket, the doctor further added.
