Several KP district officials absent during emergency meetings on coronavirus

PESHAWAR: Officials of several KP districts were absent during emergency meetings held regarding coronavirus outbreak in the province.

Chief Secretary has taken notice of the health officers and other essential departments’ absence.

Tank and Hangu district officers were nowhere to be found during important meetings regarding the coronavirus situation, nor could they be reached for call of duty.

A notification has been issued regarding their absence.

Chiefs of all the crucial departments have been bound to seek the permission of the deputy commissioners before leaving the district, as per the notification issued by the government of KP.

The document further directs Administrative Sectretaries to order their respective district heads of line departments to make sure skeleton-staff is available. District heads have been ordered to remain in close contact with the Deputy Commissioner so that they can be summoned by the district administration if need be.
