Seven terrorists killed, two soldiers martyred in North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI: Seven terrorists were killed in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) of the security forces in Zakir Khel area of North Waziristan, media wing of the armed forces reported on Friday night.

The Inter Services Public Relations said two soldiers also embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire.

Sepoy Momin Shah Shaheed, 23, belonged to village Garra Hayat in Dera Ismail Khan, while Sepoy Muhammad Sajid Shaheed, 31, belonged to village Abdul Jabba, Banda Pir Abbottabad.

Momin Shah is survived by a wife and Sajid is survived by a wife and three daughters.

On Mar 18, seven terrorists were killed, while four security personnel martyred in exchange of fire during operation in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel town.

Media wing of the armed forces had reported, “On confirmed intelligence about presence of terrorists in a hideout near Datta Khel, North Waziristan, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Mama Ziarat, seven kilometers South West of Dattakhel.
