RAWALPINDI: Seven terrorists were killed, while four security personnel martyred in exchange of fire during operation in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel town on Wednesday.
Media wing of the armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported, “On confirmed intelligence about presence of terrorists in a hideout near Datta Khel, North Waziristan, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Mama Ziarat, seven kilometers South West of Dattakhel.
As soon as troops cordoned the area, terrorists opened fire to flee from the hideout. During operation, 7 terrorists were killed. In intense exchange of fire, four security forces personnel embraced shahadat including one commissioned officer, while one soldier got injured, the ISPR said. Large cache of arms, ammunition & IEDs recovered from hideout during clearance, it added.
Those martyred are: Lieutenant Agha Muqadas Ali Khan, 26, resident of Lahore; Lance Havaldar Qamar Nadeem, 36 , resident of Layyah, survived by one wife, two sons and a daughter; Sepoy Muhammad Qasim, 24, resident of Layyah; and Sepoy Tauseef, 23, resident of Narowal.
Muqaddas Ali Khan was from 36th PMA Graduate Course.
