 Seven men arrested for travelling to Turkey on fake visas

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested seven men at the Sialkot International Airport for travelling to Turkey on fake visas.

The suspects revealed that they bought the visas from a man, identified as Qasim through giving him millions of rupees.

The FIA has arrested Qasim and sent him to human smuggling cell for interrogation.

“Every year, these agents sent thousands of people abroad on fake documents.” said FIA spokesperson.

last year, a report revealed that FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit have received over 10,000 complaints of human smuggling from across the country. The highest number of cases was reported in Punjab.
