Seven injured in cracker bomb attack on Jashn e Azadi stall

KARACHI: At least seven people got injured including a woman in a cracker bomb attack on a stall set up for selling different items related to the Independence Day celebrations (Jashn e Azadi) in Gulshan e Hadeed, Karachi.
The wounded were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical assistance. Teams of police, rangers and bomb disposal squad arrived at the site of the incident, where BDS found pieces of cracker bomb and its lever.
Police officials said that Russian RGD-I cracker bomb was used in the attack, which resembled the earlier similar attacks.
Earlier, similar attacks with Russian cracker bombs were carried out on Jamaat e Islami’s Kashmir rally, office of DSP Gulbahar, a shop in Sachchal area and Ehsaas Centre in Liaquatabad No 10.
