Seven coal miners killed in Harnai district

HARNAI: Seven coal miners were killed in an explosion caused by Methane gas which accumulated in a coalmine at Toor Ghar area of Harnai district on Monday night.

Earlier, police sources said three mine workers were still trapped inside the coalmine for which rescue operations was underway. Later, their bodies were also recovered in the rescue operation which lasted for 17 hours.

The deceased included three brothers. They have been identified as Abdul Sadiq, son of Abdul Rehman, Abdul Hadi, son of Abdul Rehman, Noor Mohammad, son of Abdul Rehman, Samiullah, Hazrat Umar, son of Haji Mohammed, Laal Muhammed, son of Shah Mohammed and Naqeebullah, son of Hamdullah.
