Security of Lahore-Sialkot Motorway taken over by Punjab Police

Punjab Police took over the security control of Lahore-Sialkot Motorway after a woman was raped on the motorway.

Special Protection Unit and Highway Patrol Police were deployed on the motorway.

250 personnel from both the units will be on patrol and security on the motorway while vehicles of both the units will be deployed in 3 shifts.

According to Gujjarpura police station, the incident took place on the night between September 8 and 9, where the woman was traveling with her children from Lahore to Gujranwala via Sialkot Motorway when she ran out of petrol.
