Security forces kill one terrorist in South Waziristan

RAWALPINDI: One terrorist was killed in exchange of fire with security forces in South Waziristan.
Media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Ladha area of South Waziristan on reported presence of terrorists. During an exchange of fire, a terrorist identified as Peer alias Asad was killed.
He was an active member of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) since 2006.

On Mar 9, 2021, security forces had conducted an operation and succeeded in averting a ‘major’ terror incident in Charmang, Bajaur near Pak-Afghan border.
Hundreds of kilograms of explosives including IEDs and other weapons were recovered during the operation. According to security officials, the explosives were being secretly transferred through Pak-Afghan border.
