Second shipment of covid-19 vaccines reaches Pakistan from China
Another plane carrying 500,000 corona vaccines has arrived in Pakistan from China, which landed at Noor Khan Airbase on Wednesday.
Sinopharm company has agreed to provide Corona vaccine to Pakistan in phases and talks are underway with the Chinese company, Ken Saino, as well regarding the procurement of vaccine.
According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), walk-in corona vaccination facility will be available across the country.
The NCOC has said, “Walk-in vaccination will be provided to citizens aged 70 years and above and they are allowed to get the corona vaccine on a first come, first serve basis.”
The registered citizens aged 70 years and above can go to any vaccination center from tomorrow and get vaccinated without number. A National Identity Card will be required for vaccination, while registration can be done by sending the National Identity Card number to 1166.
Furthermore, the NCOC had clarified that this procedure would be implemented in the entire country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The introduction of the Covid-19 vaccine in Pakistan began last month after the first shipment of the vaccine which was arrived from China.
