Seaview beach will remain open for Karachiites on New Year’s eve: police

The Karachi’s popular destination Seaview will remain open for the public on New Year’s eve with extra-ordinary security to meet any untoward incident, city police said.
District South’s Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Syed Asad Raza shared the good news that Karachiites could celebrate the New Year’s eve at their favorite destination.
However, the police warned the beach’s visitors to remain calm during celebrations.
The SSP South informed that around 2500 police personnel will perform security duties at Seaview and surrounding areas to meet any eventuality.
The police officer said aerial firing and using firecrackers would not be allowed. “Strict action would be taken against one-wheeling and those car-riders who indulge in rash driving or harass girls,” SSP Raza added.
“150 lady constables will also perform security duties on New Year’s eve,” he said.
From 10pm on New Year’s night, the road adjacent to Seaview will be kept one-way.
