QUETTA: Scuffle broke out on Friday between police, local administration and opposition members outside the Balochistan Assembly in Quetta.
Three MPAs in Balchistan got injured as police’s armoured vehicle barged into the assembly premises by breaking its front door as the opposition members tried to close it.
The injured MPAs include Babu Raheem and Abdul Wahid Siddiqui. Huge number of opposition members have arrived at the site of the incident. Members of BNP-Mengal climbed the assembly gate.
Additional force of police and other law enforcement agencies have been called in and police have resorted to teargas shelling outside the assembly.
The incident took place when the opposition members besieged the assembly gate in protest against the provincial budget prior to its presentation.
Police tortured MPA Ahmed Nawaz Baloch, who was sitting in front of the main gate.
Members of the provincial government Arif Jan Muhammed Hasni and Abdul Khaliq Hazara approached the opposition for talks but the latter denied.
Stones and empty bottles were hurled towards Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal as he reached at the assembly.
