Scuffle breaks out between Nehal Hashmi’s son, police officials

KARACHI: A scuffle broke out between son of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Nehal Hashmi and police officials in Karachi’s Malir, Kala Board, area.

A video of the fight is doing rounds on social media which shows Nehal’s son, Naseer Hashmi, squeezing neck of a police man with his arm.

Naseer said police brought him and his family members to Saudabad police station. “Police officials stopped my family members and tried to come closer to me and when I stopped them then they broke my cell phone,” he said. He alleged that police tortured him and his mother as well.

While police said that Nehal Hashmi’s family was having a brawl with another family in Malir when police officials arrived and tried to protect the family. They said that Nehal’s family members tore uniforms of police officials.

Police have taken Nehal and his sons into their custody.
