SC verdict ends Hamza, Shahbaz govt: Fawad Chaudhry
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry while reacting to Supreme Court verdict on the presidential reference has claimed that Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have lost their majority and their governments have practically ended.
Talking in the context of the Supreme Court’s verdict of the Presidential Reference regarding the interpretation of Article 63A of the Constitution, Fawad Chaudhry said that dissident members have also been disqualified for life. Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have lost their majority today.
Fawad Chaudhry further said that Shahbaz Sharif has 173 votes, 3 people have separated from PML-N, and if the President asks for a vote of confidence then he has 169 members.
The former information minister further said that Hamza has 171 members in the Punjab assembly, 186 are required, as a result of the decision, the government of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz has come to an end, Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz should step down today.
“Shahbaz Sharif has also lost his majority in the federation. I urged the President to dissolve the national assembly, provincial assembly and move towards new elections,” Fawad added.
