The former Supreme Court (SC) judge, Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, will hear Umar Akmal’s appeal on June 11.

The case will be heard against a three-year ban levied on Umar Akmal for failing to report on his two match-fixer meetings to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) before the start of last February ‘s 5th Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The PCB confirmed that it had given notices to both the PCB and the batsman for the hearing.

Under the PCB anti-corruption unit rules, every cricketer is bound to report to the Board immediately if any suspect/corrupt person makes any contact with the cricketer, offering money for corrupt practices such as spot-fixing.
