Saudi Arabia shuts land, air, sea borders over fears of new strain of COVID-19
The Saudi Press Agency quoting an Interior Ministry source reported that Saudi Arabia has put a hold on international flights for a week as a new strain of corona virus cases are increasing in the European countries.
The measure has been taken in order to secure and protect individuals from Covid-19 and if needed, the suspension may exceed more than a week.
Consequently, the Pakistan International Airlines also suspended its operation to the kingdom through an order early on the first working day of the week. Flights from the big cities of the country to Saudi Arabia were cancelled.
As per PIA’s Spokesperson, the flights would remain cancelled until the permission is granted.
