The city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia has imposed a complete curfew to stop the coronavirus spread.

Saudi Arabia has 95,748 confirmed cases of Covid-19 out of which 642 people died while 70,616 recovered. Saudi Arabia contains 24,490 active cases of coronavirus.

The Health Ministry said, “After reviewing the epidemiological situation and the high occupancy rates of intensive care departments, it was decided to take strict health precautions in the city of Jeddah for two weeks,” starting Saturday.

Curfew will be implemented from 3 pm to 6 am according to specifications.

In addition, prayers will be suspended and a stay-at-home order will be given in Red Sea city for public and private sector workers whose airport serves pilgrims from Makkah.

The ministry said that if serious cases of coronavirus occur, strict measures should go back to Riyadh, which was “witnessing a continuous increase in the last days.”

The pilgrimage of “Umrah” to Makkah and Madinah was also stopped for the whole year.
