Saudi Arabia extends iqama holders’ entry ban amid coronavirus fears
As a precautionary measure to control the coronavirus outbreak, Saudi Arabia has extended its ban on entry of iqama holders into the Kingdom for two more weeks.
All iqama holders trapped abroad have been told to live where they are, according to a statement released by the Government. It said the ban could be extended as well.
These citizens will obey the government’s orders, and cooperate before the coronavirus situation in the kingdom gets better, the foreign ministry of Saudi Arabia said.
The government has extended two months of expiring iqamas of people already inside the country. It also got all fines imposed on them cancelled.
So far the Kingdom has registered a total of 2,039 cases of coronavirus.
