Saudi Arabia, Australia ask citizens to limit movement in Pakistan

In the wake of recent terror incidents in the country, the Saudi embassy and Australian High Commission have issued security alerts for its citizens in Pakistan, advising them to remain careful and limit their movement.
A statement issued by Saudi authorities on Twitter said “The embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan would like to warn all citizens residing and visiting the Islamic Republic of Pakistan of the need to take caution and not go out except for necessity.”
The Australian High Commissioner also said, officials in Islamabad had been advised to increase vigilance and limit travel within the city.
“You should exercise heightened vigilance and monitor the media for latest updates,” Neil Hawkins said on Twitter.
On the other hand, the United Kingdom (UK) has warned citizens against visiting Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and other regions bordering Afghanistan in wake of recent security situation.
After Friday’s suicide blast, the Islamabad authorities have banned all types of gatherings, especially activities related to the upcoming local government elections, for two weeks and declared a high alert in the city.
