RIYADH: About 17 months after its closure because of Coronavirus, Saudi Arabia has announced to open the tourism sector.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Tourism has decided to allow the foreign tourists to enter the country who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
However, Riyadh has not yet made a final decision on lifting the ban on Umrah.
According to the reports, only those who have received jabs of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be able to enter Saudi Arabia.
While, Saudi Arabia has said that those who have received the Chinese Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines they must get a booster dose of one of the vaccines the above mentioned vaccines.
Saudi Arabia has made it mandatory for tourists entering the country to take CPR tests from any authorized laboratory 72 hours in advance and submit the details to Saudi Arabian health authorities.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has decided to open flights only for tourism from August 1, while restrictions on international flights will remain the same.
